Karen Walker ‘Star City’ SS16. Images/Supplied.

Guys, I just got sent all the images from Karen Walker‘s SS16 collection that she showed at New York Fashion Week this morning (NZ time). You may have seen these already but I have decided to share with you my favourite pieces from the range because I am in the mood to post for once in my life:

SS16 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FASHION

Firstly, classic me, of course I love these bloody pants. They’re navy, they’re check and they’re cropped, so it’s a given that I’d like them.

Okay so these pants are in the same fabric but they’re a different style so it’s okay. Wide leg pyjama vibe is cool, imagine these with an oversize thick knit sweater (because in New Zealand this collection will actually be Winter 2016, not Northern Hemisphere summer) half tucked in. So dope.

I’m not entirely sure if I could pull off acid wash jeans BUT I am pretty sure this style comes in a darker denim upon closer inspection of the images. Either way, these are full on mom jeans and I am down with that.

White ribbed long-sleeve knit, quite cute. Also, that little orange satchel-type bag.

This photo I am mostly posting for the shoes. Very pro the white brogue, haven’t decided whether I think the rounded or pointed toe is better, but I like the stacked wooden heel.

Navy pleated skirt, easy.

This white ribbed knit tee is preppy and has that 60′s tennis vibe and I am super down with it. I am pretty sure it’s also going to come in navy. Either way I think this tee with those cropped navy check pants would be pretty cool.

Navy long-sleeve version of the tee. Super cute :)

The end.

Now all we have to do is hope that all those pieces come to NZ*.

*For those unaware, this collection is shown as Northern Hemisphere summer arriving Feb 2016, so some of the more summery pieces don’t make it to New Zealand as we’ll be going into Winter. That being said, in the Southern Hemisphere version of the collection some more wintery pieces get added. It’s kind of a long story, if my poor explanation doesn’t make sense, just don’t worry about it.
