I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t really matter how many clothes I have, I wear pretty much the same things every day. I have a full wardrobe, yet I have pieces that I consistently go to, and I have to say I don’t ever feel more comfortable than I do in jeans, a tee and a pair of sneakers. It’s super casual, super comfortable, super classic and has always been appealing to me and my style.
For a while my brother James and I have been thinking of ways to combine our talents (to be honest, he’s got more talent than I do, I’m mostly along for the ride) and collaborate on some creative projects together, so the idea of using the ‘uniform’ of Levi’s 501s, a tee (we’ve used AS Colour) and sneakers (Vans Old Skools) was a given. Chucking the uniform on some of me and James’ favourite models and shooting them, came naturally.
We’ve decided to do a series of 10 New Zealand models, and to run the images fortnightly. We shot our first girl on Saturday – her name is Marie, and she’s from Clyne. Marie is pretty new, she’s not been modelling long, but she’s got that something – I hate the word, but she’s incredibly cool. She’s relaxed and easy going and very intelligent. She’s from the Coromandel and I won’t say much more because I liked her enough to interview her for a separate post so I don’t want to give too much away, but trust me, she is a really great human. Check her out below:
