I know I said I was going to do a round up of the day style post, but the Twenty-Seven Names show was so good and James got such great photos I’ve decided to do a big post on what went on backstage. The collection is called ‘I’m Lost’ and is inspired by Belgian surrealist artist, René Margritte.
I’m writing as quickly as I can so forgive the bullet points, but things you should note:
- The racially diverse model cast. One of the most, if not the most varied group of ethnicities that you’ll see this week. Awesome!
- Bowler hats. Yes! Socks with bowler hats on them, yes!
- Coats – one huge long full length navy one, a red cape and a camel coloured coat with one button which is worn with these navy pants and patent loafers and a striped sweater – probably my favourite outfit in terms of real life wearability.
See below:

That really is a great collection!
Such a great way to start NZFW. I totally missed those shoes though. Do you know who they’re by? They look like a Lanvin pair I was after…
If not ‘Nabby’ by Ernest Wyler they most certainly look like them. You can find them at Mischief/Ultra.
This is my fav Twenty-Seven Names collection – I want it all!
I would definitely wear everything in this collection – Better start saving those monies. Cannot wait. Its so friggen perfect. So happy to see that scalloped blazer in there, totally missed out on the ones from ‘Nine Lives’ :(
