Opening Ceremony London England.

Remember how I wrote about this Opening Ceremony sweater/tee back in July? No? Well, I did. I wanted it, I blogged about it. (As I do.) And just after I put up the post I went online to purchase it, only to discover they’d sold out in a my size. Damn Opening Ceremony, it’s just so popular. As per usual, I probably complained about it to anyone who’d listen, and then pushed it to the back of my mind (read: forgot about it).

A couple of months later, I find myself in the men’s department of Opening Ceremony’s Howard St store in New York City. I’m skimming the racks intently (as one does when they are in one of the most exciting stores in the world for a limited period of time) and off to the side I see the Japan version of this sweater. It’s a men’s Large. Folded underneath it? The London version. Also a Large. No cigar. I ask the sales assistant to see if there are any other sizes. He ambles over to the computer and lets me know he thinks there’s one at the Ace Hotel, or that if I go online I can order it. Hoorah! Too tired to travel across the city, I opt for the online order.

After a delivery mishap (my fault), the sweater arrives 3 days before I depart the big apple. I left it in its wrapping, untouched until I got back into the country where I unpackaged it and immediately took the opportunity to take gratuitous photos of myself in it, as evidenced above and below.

Sometimes we do get what we want after all.
