NZFW: Things I’ve seen at Twenty-Seven Names.

Twenty-Seven Names opened today with Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ on the speakers and no models. It was loud and energetic and damn the anticipation was mounting. When the girls did come out, we were in for a surprise – they all came out at once – they did the finale first. A nice touch and a good way to whet the media and buyers appetite.

The collection was pretty damn cute, classic Twenty-Seven Names dresses with pleated skirts, adorable prints (the strawberries are going to go hard next Winter – trust me), shirting and club collars. Super, super wearable and girly and everything a female secretly (or not so secretly) loves. My favourite things? The sweater with the little ‘thug life’ motif, the navy sheer printed pieces, the heart print socks, a red and navy striped sweater and last by not least, the amazing soundtrack. The girls kill it every time with their soundtrack – this time we were treated to a multitude of things but best of all? Lauren Hill’s ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’. Unfortunately I can’t bring the sound to you, but here’s some pictures instead:
