NZFW: Behind the scenes with Budd – Day 1.

The first word that comes to mind right now when I think about my day is ‘Tiring’. There is just so much going on all the time, so much to do and so many frantic, stressed out people everywhere. It is awesome. Everybody is on this weird fashion week high and the whole place is just buzzing.

The first show we went to was RUBY and Liam which was my favorite show of the day. Liam is right up my alley, plus the awesome slippers they were wearing are just like the slippers I wore as a kid.

My job was pretty much to take photos so that is what I did. I got lots of great photos backstage as well as photos of cool people I saw around the venue like MADELEINE SAMI who is the shizz and not just because she has the same name as me.

Things I liked? Pretty much all of it! It couldn’t be a more perfect situation for me, I get to run around talking to people all day and making friends, and as if that wasn’t awesome enough I then get to take photos of pretty people and watch amazing fashion shows!

Things I didn’t like? My shoes, the rain, forgetting to eat and phones/computers/cameras running out of battery.

Tips to avoid these things:

1. Wear comfortable shoes. My feet hate me right now. We are not talking.
2. Eat breakfast. Because Katherine doesn’t care if you’re hungry and you end up having 3 bottles of San Pelegrino for breakfast and feeling a little ill.
3. Take an umbrella.
4. Carry chargers with you at all times and always have one eye looking out for power points.

Its time for bed now. Man I’m going to sleep well tonight!
