Well, well, well. On the positive side, I’m sitting in the Koru Lounge right now and my laptop has almost full battery. On the other side, it has been a pretty full-on draining, past 20 hours. I had my Vanishing Elephant/Area 51 event last night (which, by the way, went great aside from a public frustrated-cry – you know the kind – by me). I drank. I went out. I got home in a not exactly sober state. I semi-packed my bags. I slept. I rose three and a bit hours later, put on this really weird outfit I can’t even show you right now, put more clothes in my bag and drove towards the airport. Then I remembered I had forgotten something. So I drove home, got it, drove back towards the airport. Got near the airport, and despite my mom telling me about three times that I had to stay in the left lane to go to the long-term carparking, I stayed in the right lane and went to the wrong place. I tried to leave, then got in the wrong lane, ended up driving towards the domestic terminal and having to do this weird roundabout u-turn. Back to the long-term carparking which was packed. Finally got to airport to find a shit show of people. People everywhere, all the self-check-in machines breaking, including the one I was in line for and the one I lined up for after the first one broke. (Note to self: Listen to your father when he tells you to only take check-in luggage when travelling for one night only. It would’ve saved a tonne of time and effort.) Finally get through, up the stairs, straight to McDonald’s where I had a Bacon & Egg McMuffin (it’s the only time I allow myself McDonald’s breakfast) and a Tank juice and now I’ve made it to the Koru Lounge and I have 20 minutes until my flight boards and this was the longest story ever and I didn’t even split it into paragraphs or spell check it and it probably doesn’t even make that much sense because I’m hungover. The end.
Oh, PS: I’m going to Sydney today. Back tomorrow. Tell you about it later.
