New week, new things.

  • I know a lot of you have been waiting for the arrival of the above Love Cats sweater by Twenty-seven Names. This week it drops. I got mine on the weekend, wore it on Sunday and I swear I have never had so many compliments on one item of clothing in one day. Crazy. Anyway, the pre-sales on the sweater went nuts and I’m pretty sure the thing was sold out. But good news, the girls have done a recut (conveniently in time for the launch of their online store) SO, if you’re wanting to get your hands on one of these babies, you can do so here. But only if you’re quick.

  • Ever since I saw this photo last month (by HB Nam, who, in my opinion is one of the nicest and most underrated streetstyle photographers out there) I have been obsessively looking at it again and again. There’s something kind of off about this outfit but that’s the reason I love it. If I looked like her I would totally be rocking this look on the regular. It’s almost like she’s wearing pyjamas. Print on print? Yes. She’s dressing for comfort, for sure, and I can get behind that. One of the cutest parts of the outfit is her Fjallraven Kanken bag. The shape is a little different – a little nerdy, which makes it a winner in my books. Get one here.

  • Okay so this is not exactly new, but Adidas is running this competition thing at the moment. Basically they’re looking for the ultimate New Zealand ‘crew’ and anyone can enter. Your crew can literally consist of anyone and do anything – street art, ride bikes, dance, skate, blog (…), anything. All you have to do to enter, is make a video showing off your skills (whatever they may be) and originality and email it to: representnz@adidas.com. Why bother? Because if you win, you’ll get mad props. But no, seriously, if you win your crew walks away with $5000 worth of adidas gear and becomes the face of the adidas Originals New Zealand advertising campaign. Holla. In addition to this, the winner gets announced at this party which is on the 31st of this month (try your luck at an invite at these stores: adidas in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, Arcade in Auckland, Area 51 in Auckland and Wellington, Embassy in Christchurch, Loaded in Auckland, Qubic in Auckland, Quest in Dunedin and Queenstown, Red Rat, or The Good Room in Tauranga). I got an invite to it the other day and it looks like it’s going to be awesome…
