Last week I went along to Jimmy D‘s Spring/Summer 2012-2013 presentation, held at the A.U.T Gallery on the corner of Mount and Symonds Streets. Pieces from the collection, ‘Rising Sun, Melting Moon’ were presented on five crazily (and spectacularly) styled models, each in a crazily (and spectacularly) styled setting. Think gaffa tape eyebrows, dangly doughnut earrings, dozens of plastic bag filled with water, a plastic wrapped and gaffa-taped sofa and dirty black painted fingers.
Here’s some of what I saw – for more, check out my photo blog.

The eyebrows! Wow!

Holy cow. Nice to see this come out of NZ. Like the props / set, esp the balloons and the bags of water.
