How did you get into modelling?
I was scouted at the bus stop on the way to work, on the North Shore. I never caught the bus to work – I always drove or got dropped off – so it was fate. Rose [her mother agent] drove past me a couple of times and then came running around the corner and asked if I was a model. That was in November last year. She took my picture and not much happened, until February of this year, where she took some more pictures of me and put them on Facebook. Within a couple of hours, Ford New York called to say they wanted me, and soon after we got another call to say Givenchy wanted me on exclusive for their show in Paris. A week later I was there, and I’ve been travelling since.

Shooting for Dazed & Confused.

Favourite modelling destination so far?
Paris.

Dream modelling job?
To be shot by Steven Meisel for the cover of Vogue Italia.

Dream modelling destination?
Japan.

What do you love about modelling, and what do you dislike about it?
I love shooting. I’ve found a new love of being in front of the camera. The worst part about modelling for me, is never being quite good enough. There’s always something wrong with you.

What about the rejection? The need to stay a certain size?
I think with regards to weight, you need to set realistic goals. If you’re good and people like your face and your look, they’ll book you. I think, ‘have me as I am’. Don’t make modelling your whole life, everyone’s different. You shouldn’t compare yourself to anyone else.

What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Sushi.

What were you doing at 9:15pm last night?
Watching tv.

Is there anything you wouldn’t do for modelling?
No nudes, no cutting off all my hair and no sleeping with photographers.

Favourite food?
Salmon and avocado.

Favourite colour?
Yellow. I don’t wear it, but I like the colour.

Favourite place?
Mission Bay. If you want to go on a date, take your date to Mission Bay, eat ice cream and rollerblade.

What’s a trend you hate?
Baggy track-pants in public. Why not just put on jeans?

What’s does someone need to do to impress you?
Take me to the ballet. I really want to see Swan Lake.
