Il est jour de la Bastille le samedi et j’ai un cadeau pour vous pour célébrer!

All Images/JCP.

Firstly, let me tell you about Pardon My French. It’s a new New Zealand label, founded just over a year ago, in May of 2011, by Lucy Kemp (who has previously worked with Karen Walker and other credible Kiwi designers). On first glance at the lookbook, I have to say I wasn’t completely sold. But since trying some of the pieces on last week (as evidenced in all the photos*), I have been completely converted. Everything is so cute and more importantly, so wearable.

Secondly, let me tell you about Kronenbourg. Kronenbourg is a French beer. Enough said.

Thirdly, let me tell you something that may seem semi-unrelated, but isn’t. It is Bastille Day on Saturday.

All of these three elements come together for this post. You see, to celebrate Bastille Day and ‘The Art of Pleasure’, Pardon My French and Kronenbourg have partnered up to design 10 limited edition scarves (shown), and I have one to give away to one of you guys. All you need to do is send me something (abuse (HA), favourite words, anything) in French via one of the following channels:

Entries close 5:00pm Saturday 14 July 2012, the winner will be chosen at random and notified on Sunday 15 July 2012.

Me: Top and skirt from S/S12-13, Maddy: Dress from S/S12-13.

Maddy: Striped dress (worn under) from W12, black dress (worn over) from S/S12-13, Me: Dress from W12.

Pardon My French x Kronenbourg L.E scarf.

Playsuit from S/S12-13.

Special thanks must go to Maddy Budd for being roped into modelling despite having only had 3 hours sleep, Sarah Mason for use of her office and to Jane Etheridge for the unknowing use of her hat. For more shots and outtakes, see my photo blog.

*Note: Pardon My French items in this post come from both the current Winter 2012 and forthcoming Summer 2012-2013 collections.
