If these shoes came in a smaller size, I’d buy them.

There are two reasons for this. Firstly, there were these Karen Walker navy suede tassel loafers that came out a few season ago (S/S 2010), and I wish I had bought them. I spent too much time umm-ing and ahh-ing about the damn things that by the time I came around to it, they’d sold out of my size. Moral of that story? Shoes wait for no man, and impulse buying is sometimes necessary. Secondly, because I’ve promised myself that I won’t be making any clothing/accessory purchases until my Summer orders arrive/I go to America (ie. over the next three months), I now almost feel like buying things more. So much so, I’ve been browsing the men’s department.

Mark McNairy doesn’t really need any introduction, and if you don’t know who he is you can just bloody well look him up okay? I’m not your menswear/fashion dictionary. Anger aside, he does good shoes and these ones I like. The yellow kind of freaks me out, but at the same time it gives them that point of difference. I can imagine wearing these with cute socks and a skirt or sockless with really slim, short pants and without tooting my own horn, I would look pretty damn fresh.

Too bad the smallest size they go down to is a men’s US 7, which is like a 40. This is bad news for me, but it may be good news for you. You can pick these up from Park & Bond for US$385.00, or, if you’re really baller, you could go for the (pretty amazing) dark forest green suede option for US$525.00 from McNairy’s online store here.

For those who are less inclined when it comes to the shoes, I have another McNasty item I think you might like:

Hello! Camo and daisies. So this is super, super on trend right now (actually, as an aside, if you want to follow trends and you’re thinking of doing camo, you better be buying into that shizz right now because I’m pretty sure it’s on it’s way out. If you don’t give a toss about trends and you want to do camo, ignore and go about your business.) and everyone needs a backpack to put their knick knacks in.

I saw this and I immediately thought two things: 1.) Sarah would like this (by the way, Sarah is doing this great section on her blog called ‘I’m a consumer, don’t make me feel bad about it, it’s good for the economy‘ where she documents all the stuff she buys (there’s a lot) and it’s a really good read. Check it out.), and 2.) Imagine how awesome I would look wearing this backpack around the airport when travelling, and how practical it would be to hold all my travelling accessories?! (Laptop, camera, sleeping pills, phone, sweater, spare underwear incase your luggage gets stolen and you’re stuck for days without (yes, I’m that person), etc…)

Get it for US$198.00, here. (It also comes in desert camo).

Happy Saturday folks.
