Damn Vanishing Elephant’s Summer 2012 Collection looks good.

For those who haven’t seen already, these are the lookbook images for Vanishing Elephant‘s Summer 2012-2013 Collection. Their menswear is so good, right?! (So is their new (first) womenswear collection, but more on that closer to the release date.) On trend, easy, cool without trying hard. The clothes are expensive looking without being pretentious – something I think is hard to achieve with menswear or any ‘wear’ to be honest.

These images are pretty much the best thing I’ve seen all week. It’s so engaging and more importantly, aspirational. (The fact that this guy is incredibly, incredibly good looking (CALL ME! No, seriously…) doesn’t hurt either.) I’m loving the outfits as a whole. I don’t usually like all the pieces in brand on brand looks, but I find most of these completely wearable. I know I’m ranting, but it’s just so good okay?!

Pretty sure I’m going to see the above short-sleeve shirt (and the other colourways it comes in) on every cool dude this Summer. The below blazer? Such a good fit:

I’m not usually a big fan of three-button blazers (I’ve got a weird stigma about them, where I feel like they’re harder to wear) but this one has the unstructured soft shoulder, and sort of feels like a shirt-jacket (SHACKET!) which I can definitely get on board with. Plus, patch pocket!:

The above blazer is olive green – which I love, two button – which I also love, and has that boxy fit. Best of all, the sleeves finish right at the wrist bone (ie. they’re not too long) – something I’ve grown to love.

I see green suede brogues and I say yes:

Normally I wouldn’t advocate pale yellow overalls for men, and I still say you better be damn confident if you’re going to wear them, but there’s no denying the fact that this guy looks fresh in them (below). Plus I spy melange socks. And we all know how I feel about melange socks:

Damn, I know I said it before, but my god this guy is attractive. That look on his face could sell me pretty much anything. Like my friend Sarah said - ”he’s all, ’don’t talk, just take off your pants.’” – take from that what you will.
