- I know it’s a little overdone but I’m still loving that whole Americana sportwear collegiate inspired stuff and this sweater-tee (it’s made of cotton sweatshirting but it’s got short sleeves). It’s part of the Nike Sportswear collection and drops into store very soon. It’s actually a men’s tee, but I think it’d look great on a girl too. Well, it does look great on a girl because I put it on Maddy (above) and it looks fresh as on her, especially with the rolled sleeve. Keep an eye out!
- New Zealand’s favourite skate and streetwear brand/store, Arcade, has collaborated with Australian’s favourite skate and streetwear brand, Pass~Port, to create a limited edition run of caps, tees and skateboards to commemorate ANZAC day – a percentage of sales will be going to the ANZAC poppy appeal. I came across the caps about an hour ago and I’m obsessed. They’re a great, classic shape (made by Ebbets in the good ol’ US of A) and the felt lettering on the front is awesome. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to get my hands on one – I just have to decide on the best colour. The caps retail at NZ$85.00 and will available at Supply in Sydney from this Thursday. They drop next week in New Zealand. I suggest you get your pre-order on immediately. These things are going to fly out the door.
- Finally, my new obsession is spending many hours online trying to find a pair of tassel loafers I like. I feel like I could really work that style of shoe. I feel like they could be handy and somehow improve my life in some way. I actually did find a pair I want to have – tan suede, super nice – but they’re not being sold in New Zealand and I’m pretty sure they retail at a billion dollars a pair. Anyway, I’ve found this pair by Bass that I think are going to be the ultimate inexpensive replacement. They’re a little shiny but I can deal with it. The only problem is these only deliver to the U.S., and the exact minute I went to call Isaac to ask him to hold off on posting me some Carhartt beanies from New York so I could add this pair of shoes, was the exact minute Isaac emailed me to tell me he was at the post office. Such poor timing! Does this mean the Bass loafers aren’t meant to be?!
