Age: 20
Height: 5’11″
Ethnicity: German/Polish/English, born in the U.K.

How did you get into modelling and how long have you been doing it for?
I was scouted in Wellington by the illustrator, Kelly Thompson. I was around 15 or 16 years old. I never really pursued it at the start but moved to Auckland and have been doing it over since.

What was your modelling first job and what has been your favourite job so far?My first proper job was a Twenty-seven Names shoot. My favourite job has to be Rodd and Gunn’s R&G campaign [Editors note: Yes, that one] because it was so much fun and I got to go to Turkey to do it!

What would be your dream modelling destination and where has been your favourite place to model so far?
New York City would be my dream, modelling in London was awesome. Dream modelling job?
Probably a big show. Christopher Kane or something. Lanvin. Anything at Paris Fashion Week.

What do you love about modelling, and what do you hate about it?
I love the sense of community that comes with modelling. It’s easy to make friends when you’re a model. I don’t like the unpredictability. Well, I love and I hate it at the same time. Also, I hate when you do jobs that you think are going to pay that don’t. I love doing runway.

What about rejection?
You get used to it. It’s fine if you don’t hope too much or expect too much. Don’t get ahead of yourself!

What about staying in shape? Dieting and exercise and all of that? How do you find it?
It’s part of the job to look a certain way and fit a certain size of clothing. You know what? 90% of models that say ‘I eat what I want’ and ‘I have a fast metabolism’ – they’re lying. Sure, when you’re younger it’s easy to eat what you like without exercising and stay in shape, but it’s harder as you get older. I’d say nearly all working models are naturally/genetically inclined to be slim.

If you weren’t modelling, what would you be doing?
Studying, maybe. Saving up to go on holiday!

What’s the last thing you bought?
This giant cocoon coat – for $15!

Do you have a favourite colour?
I really like red, but I don’t wear much of it. Also, dark purple.

Favourite food?
I really like food and cooking. I’d have to say Japanese and Mexican.

Favourite model?
Tao Okamoto and Natalia Vodianova. She’s amazing.

What’s something people wouldn’t necessarily know about you?
My full name is Rosemary.

What’s something you wouldn’t do for modelling?
Shoot with Terry Richardson!
