Alyssa Hiyama.
What is it about black today? Alyssa also showed up to Shed 10 this afternoon (the model call time is 4.30pm for an 8.30pm show) in all black everything and tortoiseshell sunglasses. I don’t know if it’s just because she’s a model, but damn Alyssa looks good in fricken everything she wears. This is essentially jeans and a top but she still looks so cool. Her top is pretty awesome – so much so that I had to take a photo from the back. See below.
Jasper Seven.
Jasper rocked up today on his bike (first day a skateboard, today a bike, what’s next?!) in all black everything: black chucks, black jeans, all black everything. We won’t say anything about the fact that he’s not wearing a helmet whilst he rides his bike but I know you’re all secretly tut – tutting at his lack of concern for his own safety. Regardless, he looks cool and that’s what matters. Go forth and ride Jasper! Go forth and ride!

Hello Barbados! Vinnie went to the Black Lips last night and he’s feeling pretty hungover today so this is what male models look like and how they dress after a big night out. LOL.
How did you get into modelling?
I was scouted at when I was 13 years old at the Chinese Lantern Festival of all places! I started modelling straight away. My first shoot was for NO magazine and my first test was with David Shields. It all started there.

Leilani rocked up at tonight’s New Zealand Fashion Festival show in all polka-dot everything (and leopard print socks). I love the skirt. I’m pretty sure she told me she got it in New York. I love New York too.

Alyssa wins so far in the outfit posts today. There’s no many people that can pull off drawstring pants and sneakers and not like they’re wearing pyjamas. I actually have that sleeveless shirt but never know how to wear it. Alyssa has inspired me. For that, she gets double points.

Is today ‘bright t-shirt day’ or something? Vinnie is rocking what I like to call ‘mauve’ but some may call ‘purple’. Either way, it’s bright. Good on ya mate.

Maddy Budd.
Maddy‘s a fine arts student at Whitecliffe. She’s also super friendly and super cute. Maddy has one of the most extensive wardrobes I have ever seen, so it’ll be interesting to see what outfits she comes up with this week. Tonight she was at Shed 10 for the first collection show at the New Zealand Fashion Festival, sporting a new hair cut and cute maroon low tops. My jam.
Jasper Seven.
Jasper’s a model (duh.) who, if you follow New Zealand fashion, you probably recognise. He arrived at Shed 10 today on his skateboard. He asked me if I liked his cap. I told him that it was fresh. He replied that his girlfriend thought it made him look really ‘Wayne’s World’. I tend to agree, but in the best way possible. Wayne’s World is cool.

Alyssa is a student/model who is walking in a few shows this week at the New Zealand Fashion Festival. The best thing about Alyssa is the fact that she is completely chilled out all the time (in the best way), and she manages to look cool in every damn thing she wears. I look forward to seeing what she pulls out of the bag for the rest of the week!
