I don’t know if you can see very clearly from the photos, but these people are playing Quidditch. Yes, seriously, the sport from Harry Potter. They had brooms and everything. I walked past these guys today and literally could not stop watching. I’m not quite sure what the rules are like when you can’t fly and there isn’t a magic golden snitch, but it looks fun anyway.
they have it in NZ too! it probably has different rules but some schools play it and have competitions and everything
People at my University do that too. We have a quidditch club. It’s like a big event every Sunday afternoon. it’s interesting to say the least.

We have a Harry Potter Club at school and play Quidditch often- it’s ridiculously intense(although we don’t play full on-tackle, being sensitive wee school girls). The rules are actually rather similar to actual Quidditch-but the snitch is actually a person running around the general vicinity, chased by the seeker, and we have to actually run around with brooms wedged between our legs as opposed to flying. Passing teachers and students like to have a good chuckle while we play, but it’s all good fun! I highly recommend it!
hahahahaha, this is my school! it’s actually really intense and taken pretty seriously here, which is hilarious but also wonderful.
