This week I thought we might try something a little different – something a little non-fashion related seeing as for the next four days (at least), you’re going to be bombarded (and yes, I mean bombarded – seriously) with New Zealand Fashion Week news.
I like food more than I like fashion, generally speaking, so it seems natural to blog about something foody. You may remember a few weeks back I tweeted/blogged about a new café opening in Westmere: Catroux. Well, this weekend the café opened officially, and I took a couple of girls with me to test it out. This is what we saw (and ate!):
Catroux is owned and operated by a lovely young lady named Adele (who is seriously the nicest person ever), and I seriously recommend you go just for the fresh juices, jars of lemon curd, amazing salads and Pukeko bakery bread. Oh, and the cakes. And the Harney & Sons tea. None of us tasted anything off the menu (only food out of the cabinet) so I can’t write about that, but I saw other peoples orders and got food envy so will definitely back for more!
Catroux is located at 129 Westend Road, Westmere, Auckland. I would tell you the opening hours but I don’t know right now… so here’s the phone number: 09 376 3590.
Note: Catroux also does catering so if you need mini lamb shank pies (AMAZING!!) or similar delicious things, call her!

yum.
Yay all these cute new cafes opening up.. I went to Little & Friday based on you’re review, and damn I was impressed..
Thanks for the lovely review, Zane @ Catroux
