I think it would be safe to say that Lover was one of the most anticipated shows of the day. And going by the reactions and feedback of the people I saw after the event, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were labelled the best. The show was held at The Studio in the Sydney Opera House. This was pretty incredible in itself, especially for me – I’d never been inside before. The catwalk was a white baseball diamond-esque square and situated on the lowest level with four huge screens above the center, projecting 10 years of Lover images on it. The catwalk was framed by one row of seats against the wall. One front row for V.I.P’s. The mezzanine level had seats for the rest of us plebs.
Looking down into what was essentially a large square pit, was a pretty amazing experience. It’s a whole new angle to view clothes and models at. The show itself was incredibly slick, models had clean side parts and sleek, long, low ponytails and each girl walked with purpose. The huge screens flicked between the show and still photographs and the music was quick and loud. The clothes were clean and beautiful with black and white and neutrals accented with punches of red. The shoes were high with gold accents. Super, super slick.
This is some of what I saw from my seat on the mezzanine level, including my favourite piece – this lovely short-sleeved lace dress:

That collection looks fabulous, love it!
Where can we buy Lover in Auckland. Fab!
Re: Creina Weston – I’m pretty sure Superette and Good as Gold both stock Lover.
