Things that happened yesterday.

  1. I went into Dean and Deluca for the first time. For those in Auckland who don’t know, Dean and Deluca is like a huge, way more extensive (and a bit more expensive) version of Nosh. It is off the hook amazing. Seriously. They have everything. And everything looks fantastic and delicious and is a million bucks (especially when you add that tax and convert into New Zealand dollars). I got a crab-cake sandwich/roll which was huge and had this crazy chipotle mayo and bacon in it, and Isaac got a roast beef sandwich. He also got a lemon slice. I got an orange juice. Best orange juice I’ve had in the city so far. I want to try the sushi next time. God I love that place.
  2. Met up with my New Zealand friend, James, who’s been on this side of the world for almost two months. He’d just bought the new toy-craze-sensation-thing here – ‘Buckyballs‘. At first I thought he was an idiot for spending US$30.00 on a bunch of magnetic balls but then I had a go with them and the things are awesome. They provided us with endless hours of entertainment. Check them out here.
  3. Spent extended periods of time outside in the coldest weather I have experienced in my entire life. The wind chill was incredible. It’s like standing in front of a freezer fan or something. You can’t feel your face or your ears and the air literally goes through your coat and sweater. We walked to this bar someone recommended to us, ‘The Cake Shop’ and watched the end of a comedy show. It was cool. I would say more but right now I think I’m getting sick and I’m too tired to blog, so just enjoy the photos:
