Me, freezing in bed, blogging. I am wearing long johns, possum-merino socks, thermals, shirt and two sweaters.
After a very stressful and harrowing travel experience involving a narrowly missed flight (we literally were at the gate at the flight departure time, and I’m pretty sure we delayed the flight 15 minutes), our bus not reaching it’s intended final destination due to ‘demonstrations’ in the city, the three underground train-lines we needed not operating this weekend, and an incident where I got stuck in the train station between two doors and couldn’t get out (long story), we have finally arrived in London. Finally. And boy is it cold. We were looking forward to the forecasted sunny day, but it turns out it can still be fecking-freezing-cold when the sun is out.
But, despite the rough day, it’s nice to be in a country where everyone speaks your language.
