Bryan Boy in one of the Burberry Prorsum coats from Winter 2012.

  1. I was seated and I actually got to watch the whole thing from my seat. And Tommy Ton was sitting in front of me. And Bryan Boy was sitting in front of him. So basically that means they’re my best friends.
  2. It opened with Dusty Springfield’s, ‘You don’t have to say you love me’. I love the song, and the sound of the horns in the intro of the song was so dramatic. Perfectly perfect for the opening of a show, perfectly perfect all ’round.
  3. The coats. There was basically a coat in every colour and fabric, including a royal blue, suede, single breasted one that kind of reminded me of a shirt my grandpa would wear.
  4. There was a girl there with a barbie doll in her handbag. I don’t know whether it was for aesthetic appeal or whether she really ‘used’ it, but it made for interesting viewing. I actually think the girl may have been Poppy Delevigne, but I’m not positive so don’t quote me on it. See pic below.
  5. It closed with all the boys coming out in clear plastic raincoats over their outfits. Why? Because it was raining. Indoors. Raining indoors!!! The finale began with rain, which poured from the ceiling in a strip the length of the catwalk. So amazing and so, so clever. (Also so, so relevant, seeing as the show was called ‘Weather Boys’.)
