Highs and Lowes.

Me riding the luggage trolley at the hotel in Sydney. Image/Isaac Hindin Miller

Highs:

  1. Sydney! – Smiths chips, Stolen Girlfriends Club jewellery launch, Miss Chu, Simon Cordery…
  2. My new APC t-shirt – courtesy of my brother. Thanks James!
  3. Gimlets. My summer drink of choice from here on in.
  4. Lonely Hearts and NO Magazine Halloween party – it’s so much more fun when people are forced to dress up. I went as Monica Seles. It was the thinking mans costume. Typical tennis player from the front, bloodied knife wounded Monica Seles from the back. If you don’t know who she is, you need to Google her immediately.

Low(e)s:

  1. Going to bed at 1.30am and waking up at 5.00am to get to the airport for a 7.50am flight. So early! So tiring!
  2. Too many Gimlets.
  3. Fake blood has stained my skin for life. I’m serious. This stuff does not want to come off.

One day in Sydney – a picture essay.

Five things I did yesterday:

1. Consumed some of the best White Chocolate and Macadamia Brownie I have ever eaten, at LoveBite. If I’m being completely honest, my ‘Toast with sides of Avocado and Bacon’ (which arrived as a sandwich for some weird reason) was mediocre, but that brownie kicked ass:

2. Took blurry, self-indulgent photos in the back of Taxis:

Giddaaayy – Touch down in Sydney town.

So incase you didn’t know, I am in Sydney. I didn’t know I was going to be here until a day and a half before I actually arrived so things have been a bit rushed and I haven’t had a chance to blog or do anything. I’m not complaining though – a ticket to this marvelous city was the best birthday gift a girl could ask for.

But it’s not all play – I’m here with Isaac and we are on some official business. Last night was the official Australian launch of Stolen Girlfriends Club’s jewellery. They threw a little shindig to celebrate. Not ones to say no to any kind of event, we went along. Pictures etc to come. Watch this space!

I liked him better with long hair, but he is still awesome. A couple more images from the campaign below – the rest here. And keep an eye out – on November the 1st, Oliver Peoples is going to roll out the first installment of the short film they’ve created to accompany these stills. More Devendra for everyone! High fives!

Lonely Hearts sold out.

All Images/via littleflirt.com.au

This Lonely Hearts Cross Court Dress is sold out which is quite sad because I kind of want it. The tie-dye is much more subtle in real life, and although you can’t see the back of the dress, trust me – it’s cool. The fabric is soft and swishy and it just seems like the perfect thing for a summer day. The only problem I have, is the fact that I think that I may be too old to be wearing something like this. It seems like something you’d have to be super skinny and super young and beautiful to wear. Young, as in under the age of 21. Is over the age of 21 too old to be wearing something like this?

I guess the question really isn’t much of a question seeing as I can’t actually get my hands on the damn thing to try on. They have it at Area 51 in Newmarket, but only in white. What do you think? Should I take the plunge? Or should I aim for this other beautiful dress from the collection – the ‘Half Volley’ dress (image below)?

Or should I just save my non-existent income for less frivolous purchases?

So many questions, so much ranting, so little answers…
