Deluxe.

With the weather getting worse and worse, and temperatures dropping by the day, I’ve decided it’s about time I invested in clothes in which I can rug up. It’s time to get serious. No more of this tights and light layers stuff – I’m talking warmer, sturdier items to brave the outdoors in.

Now, because I can’t seem to ‘do’ coats (I don’t know why, I just can’t), and doubling up cardigans just doesn’t seem to be cutting it, I’ve found the perfect solution. This jacket:

Okay, firstly let’s acknowledge the fact that I look like a complete tool in this photo. I know this but I’m posting it anyway. Get over it. Onto the jacket:

It’s pretty casual, but I’m a pretty casually dressed person. I really like baseball jackets and this one is awesome. I found it at Quarters. It’s by Japanese brand, ‘Deluxe‘ and it’s $550.00… This is a litttttlllle steep and it goes completely against my financial diet, but hear me out (read: hear me try to justify spending the money). It’s cooooooool! It increases my cool level from 3 to a maybe 3.5, and my thug level to maybe a 1.5 from o… Okay maybe not, but it’s warm. And it’s got pockets. And it doesn’t cost as much as Zambesi’s (beautiful) version of the baseball jacket (see below) that I have been coveting the last few months, so it acts as a kind of substitute jacket. Or something. Oh, and best of best of all, it has the words ‘Chain Gang’ embroidered below the left hand pocket! Ha!

So what do you think? Buy the jacket, or just accept the fact that I’m not gangsterrrr enough for it no matter how many times I pull the fingers and various other hand gestures?
