What I would buy if I wasn't on a financial diet: This Steve Mono bag from Opening Ceremony. Image/openingceremony.us
Friends. I am on a diet. One of the cash-related variety. My friend has coined the phrase ‘financial diet’ and as self-explanatory as that is, I will explain to you my dilemma with a highly complex mathematical equation:
Where Money into bank account per fortnight = +M, and Money out of bank account per fortnight = -M:
-M > +M
Ideally the arrow would be facing the other way:
-M < +M
But alas, it is not.
This causes slight problems. It means that there is an increase in money charged to credit card (-M In Advance, otherwise known as -MIA).
And -MIA is always bad news.
The rules of the financial diet so far:
- Stop eating lunch and dinner out every day.
- Stop buying clothes with my credit card.
The problems with the rules of the financial diet:
- I love going out for lunch and dinner.
- I will have to wear the same things every day.
Sigh.
please start a support group, because I am the same. Cept more with eating than shopping.
I’ve got it. Just multiply each side by -1, and you’ll have the desired result.
Re: Rob – You’re the man! If only it worked that way. If only.
