Postcarden.

I am not much of a gardener. In fact, I’m not exactly much of an ‘outdoorsy’ person. I hardly ever dine al fresco, even. That’s how weirded out I am by the elements. The constant-feeling-of-cold and irrational-fear-of-insects will do that for you. Nerd much? Yes. However, despite the fact that a good 80% of me would feel much more comfortable in the safety of indoors as opposed to being surrounded by (*gulp*) nature, I do love this mini-garden, the Postcarden:

I love the pop-up factor and the fact that it is so many things in one. It’s a postcard! It’s a pop-up! It’s a drawing! It’s a cress-garden! It’s the all-you-need-in-one gift for your plant-loving, art-loving friends! The best part is the fact that the garden grows in and around the pop-up, not just in front of it. Oh, and the fact that it comes in three great designs (city – above, botanical and allotment -below). The botanical is probably my favourite. Imagine how great it would look in your kitchen.

Check out the cute stop-motion film of how they work below. You can get your very own Postcarden here.

Afterthought: This is a little off topic, but once you’ve grown your very own cress in your very own Postcarden, you know what you could do with it? You could make this delicious looking prawn, basil mayo and cress sandwich, here. Ohh, I love Jamie Oliver.
