That means it was almost a year ago that I ordered my very own pair of love-heart knickers and almost a year ago since I received them (and consequently almost died with love for them). I still have them. I barely wear them because I don’t want them to get worn out. (I know, I’m a nerd).
Anyhow, that’s all beside the point. The point is, it was a long time ago, and I hadn’t seen anything new by Jemma Aickin (the founder of Hatsumi’s Laundry), until now. The Australian lingerie brand is back with a second collection, ‘Ocelove’, and it’s just as good (if not better) than the first. I love it. I love it a lot a lot a lot. The photography is beautiful (more below). Paul Barbera (who also shot the ‘Blanc vs Noir’ range) has done a great job.
The bustier above is lovely. Everything is lovely. I feel like I’m ranting on and on and repeating myself, but I really think the range is so girly and dainty and darling and it makes me smile. The shirred elastic on the underwear is just the perfect way to describe the word ‘pretty’. The pair I own are made of a soft cotton voile and they really are so nice to wear.
And unlike the first collection, this time Aickin’s come out with bras which means you can match!
The shot of the girl in the window above (left) – I love that. It’s perfect. The way her hair is falling over her face, the way she’s half cross-legged and sort of balancing in there – so good. It’s so. good.
There’s also a subtler version of the big bow knickers I loved from the ‘Blanc vs Noir’ in this collection too. This time, I think I’m going to have to get my hands on them…:
